Marvel NOW! 2 - Septiembre 2016

Parece que ya está más que arraigada la costumbre de reiniciar las numeraciones de gran parte de las colecciones tras eventos de cierta importancia. Cuando solo medio año que se reiniciaron todas y cada una de las colecciones del Universo Marvel, cabe sin duda preguntarse que sentido tiene hacerlo ahora, pero lo cierto es que este mes tenemos números uno de los Vengadores, Iron Man, la Pantera Negra y Ultimates, ¿tal vez para remarcar la importancia que ha tenido Civil War II para estas series?.

El mes pasado veíamos el spin-off de Mercenarios por Dinero de Masacre protagonizado por Solo, para noviembre se nos anuncia una nueva serie protagonizada por otro de los componentes de este grupo. Esta vez le toca al Exterminador de Tontos iniciar su andadura en solitario. No es la primera vez que el personaje (o versiones distintas de él), tienen su cabecera propia; en concreto esta será la cuarta. En 1990 protagonizó una serie de diez números y a finales de la primera década de los 2.000 tuvo dos series limitadas dentro de línea MAX.

Death of X, cuyos dos últimos números se publicarán este mes, sirve de preludio para IVX (Inhumans Vs. X-Men), la historia sobre las que nos han ido lanzando pistas tras el salto de ocho meses ocurrido después de las Secret Wars III.  Es de suponer que el punto central de la historia será como está afectando la Niebla Terrígena a los mutantes y que hacer con ella. Muchos aficionados se temen que sea una excusa para una trama vacía de peleas entre los dos colectivos, como ya ocurrió con AvX.

Siguen aflorando personajes relacionados con Secret Wars III. Desde el reinicio del Universo ya hemos visto como varios de los protagonistas que aparecían en ese macroevento se han integrado a la Tierra-616 (por ejemplo Singularidad en Fuerza-V o los miembros del Escuadrón Supremo). Este mes se ofrece un planteamiento distinto, ver que ha ocurrido con una de las realidades creadas durante ese evento, estamos hablando de Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows, en la que visitaremos la Tierra-18119, el mundo que había estado controlado por el Regente.

El hecho de que se haya anunciado la aparición del Motorista Fantasma en la serie televisiva de Agentes de SHIELD parece un buen momento para lanzar una nueva colección protagonizada por este personaje. De sus múltiples encarnaciones siguen apostando por la última de ellas, que Panini ha traducido como el Piloto Fantasma, nos referimos a Robbie Reyes, un joven de Los Ángeles que debe hacerse cargo de su hermano menor (que sufre un retraso psíquico y físico importante) y de la posesión demoníaca que le da sus poderes.
